Lauren and Matteo were married on June 11th, with a ceremony and reception at the Verandas Beach House.
Matteo proposed to Lauren while they were on a boat with their family and friends. He wanted his family and closest friends there that day, so the family cruise was the perfect opportunity, and he even had his friends hold signs as he proposed.
My second shooter, Phil, was a former student of Lauren’s mother, who used to be a 6th-grade teacher. I love it when there are those personal connections because it just makes the experience that much more meaningful.
The ceremony itself was incredibly touching. It seemed like everyone was crying, and I was even able to catch the father of the bride crying for just a moment. I love those tender moments.
After that, I went with the wedding party on their party bus on their way to the portrait shoot location. It was absolutely a party on wheels! The whole group was fun to work with—and even though it was one of the largest wedding parties I’ve worked with, they were so cooperative and so much fun.
One of my favorite images of the day was when we were out on the Manhattan Beach Pier. There just so happened to be a guitarist playing there—and I had to get a picture! It’s actually one of my favorite wedding pictures I’ve ever taken.
Matteo & Lauren, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your epic wedding day! The whole day was full of fun and laughter and tears, and I loved every minute of it.
